Description
This course is intended for students who have completed standard courses in Calculus and Linear Algebra, and its aim is to introduce some of the main ideas of Differential Geometry. Topics include Geometry of Curves and Surfaces, Riemannian Geometry, and Global Structures of Surfaces.
Lectures
M 5–7:30 pm in Fitzelle Hall 218. Attendance contributes 10 % to total grade.
Homework
Must be handed in every week. Expect to do about 7–10 hours of homework per week. Contributes 20 % to total grade + Maple assignments contribute 10 % to total grade.
